What Is CrossFit?

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

CrossFit

At CrossFit Watauga we offer three different classes so we can better meet your goals! We offer strength and conditioning, conditioning, and strength! Each of these classes are coach led, intense, and fun! Having these different options allows us to tailor a program specifically for your needs! Each and every program we can be modified to any and all fitness levels! Let us help and guide you to your goals!

Strength and Conditioning

This is our classic CrossFit Class! Each class is 1 hour long and begins with a coach led warm up specific to each days workout. Following that each class will generally have a specific dedicated time to working on strength under the watchful eye of our professional coaches. Each class will have a metabolic conditioning portion called a “Metcon.” This is where lifting, cardio, and gymnastics are paired together to create an intense and fun workout!

Conditioning

45 Minutes of go! This class focuses exclusively on metabolic conditioning, also known as cardio! But this is not your typical cardio, this is high intensity interval training! This class uses weight lifting, gymnastics, and cardio based machines to create our classic CrossFit Metcons and give you a great workout in a short amount of time!

Strength

Looking to compete in the sport of Olympic Weight Lifting? Get stronger? Or become more proficient in the Clean and Jerk and Snatch? This is the class for you! The entire hour focuses on perfecting your technique, getting stronger, and becoming more proficient with the barbell!

Personal Training

1-on-1 training sessions provide a private experience for anyone looking to start their fitness journey. With this service, you’re in control of your training schedule and every session is individually tailored to your goals and fitness level. Need help on skills or want a little extra push? This is just what you need to make it happen!
